Amid growing tensions with Moscow, Finland is overhauling its defense strategy, taking ambitious steps to strengthen its security. After joining NATO, Helsinki plans to increase the number of reservists to one million by 2031 and extend the maximum age of enlistment. In addition, a 200km border fence is being built and economic activities in border regions are being affected. Finland bans real estate purchases by Russian citizens and restricts the use of drones, emphasizing the importance of maintaining an inviolable border.
