On Thursday morning, the German city of Stuttgart was affected by an extensive power outage, which led to traffic paralysis and significant disruptions in public transport. Electricity network operators identified the cause as a brief voltage drop in the high-voltage network, which, although quickly corrected, generated disruptions in the grid.
The local police reported that many traffic lights were not functioning, including at major intersections, and the railway system experienced delays. Additionally, firefighters received numerous fire alerts, which turned out to be false, triggered automatically due to voltage fluctuations.
