Bucharest trams 25 and 41 are not operating on certain sections in the western and southwestern parts of the capital due to a lack of power in the public transport supply network. The incident occurred nearly an hour before the announcement issued by the Bucharest Transport Company (STB).

Service is affected on Timișoara Boulevard, Brașov Street and Preciziei Boulevard. STB has not yet specified the exact cause of the power interruption or the estimated timeframe for the resumption of tram services.

To transport passengers, two shuttle lines have been established: line 625, between Militari Depot and Danny Huwe, and line 641, between Piața Presei and Ghencea.

Line 41 connects the Ghencea, Drumul Taberei, Crângași and Militari neighborhoods with the northern part of the city, including Piața Presei and the Triumphal Arch. Tram 25 provides a connection between the western part of the capital and the Rahova, Ferentari and Giurgiului neighborhoods. The disruption of the two routes affects one of Bucharest’s main public transport connections. The situation is being updated.
