A kamikaze drone with approximately 100 kg of explosives was discovered near the island of Lefkada, a popular tourist destination in Greece, after operators lost control of it. The drone was found by a fisherman in a cave, and authorities have expanded the investigation, involving experts in bomb disposal.
The Greek Minister of Defense, Nikos Dendias, stated that the drone originates from a 'foreign state', with suspicions that it may have Ukrainian origins. The political opposition has accused the government of negligence in the face of threats, highlighting the lack of transparency regarding information about the drone. Dendias attempted to calm fears, stating that Greece is working on equipping the navy with advanced technologies to address emerging threats. The drone has been transported to a naval base for analysis, in search of clues about its origin.
