Mount Etna, located in Sicily, has had a spectacular new eruption, expelling an impressive column of ash and smoke that reached a height of approximately 15 kilometers. The phenomenon caused significant disruptions in air traffic in southern Italy, with authorities having to take precautionary measures for passenger safety.

The intense volcanic activity generated clouds of ash that covered nearby areas, affecting visibility and the operation of flights at regional airports. Monitoring teams continue to track the volcano's evolution to decide if additional restrictions are necessary. Currently, authorities are assessing the impact of ash deposits on local infrastructure and air quality.
