The court hearing for Elena Udrea is scheduled for Thursday at 9:00. The former politician has been granted a positive opinion for parole and if the court approves the request, she will be able to leave prison quickly. Udrea was convicted in the 'Gala Bute' case and was incarcerated in June 2022 after extradition from Bulgaria, serving a six-year sentence. She was implicated in coordinating a corruption scheme linked to tourism ministry contracts.
