The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced on Wednesday that it will extend the warning regarding conflict zones in the Middle East until July 1, emphasizing that security risks remain high.

This decision comes in the context where aviation safety is affected by geopolitical tensions and military risks, even after the announcement of a ceasefire framework between the United States and Iran. EASA highlighted that air operators must constantly assess the security situation and be aware of potential threats when planning flights in the region.

Persistent risks include possible violations of the ceasefire, especially in the strategic area of the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, the fragility of the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah could generate military activities impacting the airspace of Lebanon. EASA recommends that air operators exercise caution in operations in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
