Two drones targeted the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, Masrour Barzani, on Monday, with no casualties reported, according to the KRG security agency.
The attack, launched from Iranian territory, has not been claimed, and the information does not confirm whether the drones hit their target, according to a statement cited by G4Media. Iran and the armed groups supported by Tehran accuse the Kurdistan region of harboring Kurdish opposition groups, considering them a threat.
"I condemn these reckless and unacceptable attacks in the strongest terms,” said Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on platform X.
The Kurdistan region has previously been targeted by drone attacks, including a wave of attacks in July 2025 that affected the production of oil. An attack in April 2024 on the Khor Mor gas field resulted in the deaths of four Yemeni workers.
