Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Poland, condemned the violence against Ukrainians, calling for an end to xenophobic attacks, following violent incidents reported by the Polish press. His reaction came after a recording captured an attack on a Ukrainian and his girlfriend, which took place in Wroclaw after an argument in a store. Two of the attackers were arrested. Tusk emphasized that such despicable acts undermine Poland's interests, favoring Russia and nationalism. Although Poland is a significant supporter of Ukraine in the conflict with Russia, Ukrainians in the country are facing an increase in hostility, and the initial solidarity has turned into discontent regarding the presence of refugees. The complex historical relations between Poland and Ukraine contribute to these tensions.
