Tokyo the Labrador was rescued by a mountain rescue team from Scotland after consuming cannabis on a trail. The dog has fully recovered after treatment.

A Labrador dog, Tokyo, was rescued from Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Scotland, after suffering from cannabis poisoning. Christina Bluhme, the dog's owner, was hiking when Tokyo began to lose the ability to move and showed signs of unconsciousness. The mountain rescue team from Lochaber quickly intervened, transporting the dog to a local veterinarian, where it received care. After a night of observation, Tokyo fully recovered, and the veterinarians confirmed that the poisoning was caused by cannabis left on the trail.

Bluhme described the experience as extremely frightening and thanked the rescue team for their assistance. According to specialists, dogs are more sensitive to cannabis than humans, and the symptoms of poisoning can appear quickly. This is not the first time dogs have had problems due to cannabis consumption, with a similar incident occurring in Somerset in 2024.
