The necklace, called the 'Fleur de Lys', fetched 4.26 million Swiss francs at a Sotheby's auction. The jewel sparked interest not only because of its design and the rarity of the diamonds, but also because of its alleged links to Queen Marie-Antoinette. The necklace was previously valued at up to 2 million francs.
