In Poland, a coordinated disinformation campaign is circulating on social media, especially on Facebook, urging users to boycott Ukrainian products, claiming without evidence that they are "contaminated." The Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation has emphasized that these messages exploit consumer fears and aim to damage relations between Poles and Ukrainians. The authors of the posts call for a refusal of products with the barcode 482, which indicates Ukrainian origin, generalizing isolated cases of non-compliant products to create a false impression of danger. Polish authorities have begun to respond more firmly to this false information, and the foreign minister has criticized politicians who fuel hostility towards Ukraine. Ukrainian specialists emphasize the importance of responsible information consumption and urge checking sources before believing alarmist messages. Poland imports from Ukraine, especially vegetable oils, with sunflower oil being among the most common products.
