He urged Hungary and Slovakia to abandon support for Russian fossil fuels, suggesting replacing them with liquefied natural gas from America. Wright also called for alternatives to nuclear energy sourced from Russia, in the context of a recent decision by the EU Supreme Court that challenged state aid for the expansion of the Paks II nuclear power plant, in collaboration with Rosatom.
