China EV Marketplace, China's largest online store for electric vehicles, now allows Europeans to order electric cars and plug-in hybrids directly from China, simplifying the import process. In the first half of the year, sales were up 66%, mainly thanks to hybrids that do not incur special tariffs in the EU. Customers can order a single vehicle and the platform handles customs clearance and delivery. However, there are challenges with Chinese vehicle specifications and getting spare parts. Customs clearance and approval fees apply additionally.
