Chancellor Friedrich Merz called on European and American partners on Sunday to begin planning for the future of Iran and the region, emphasizing that, although the German government supports nuclear non-proliferation objectives, the escalation of the conflict remains a risky problem. Merz stated that Germany shares the United States' goals of stopping Iran's nuclear and ballistic programs, labeling the Iranian regime as one of terror.
At the same time, France condemned Iran's "massive and unjustified attacks" on Gulf countries and Jordan, expressing solidarity with these nations. The head of French diplomacy, Jean-Noel Barrot, emphasized that the countries in the Middle East are involved in a conflict they did not choose, reaffirming France's full support for them.
