The American fund Blackstone Inc. has announced an investment of up to two billion euros in the Danish company Eurowind Energy, a pan-European renewable energy developer. The agreement, which is expected to be finalized by the end of 2026, will make Blackstone a co-owner of Eurowind, holding a 24.7% stake. The company's founders, including CEO Jens Rasmussen and the Norlys group, will remain majority shareholders.

This investment will support Eurowind's renewable energy development in a context of rapidly growing energy demand in Europe. Blackstone estimates investment opportunities of over 500 billion dollars in European assets by 2035, including in the energy transition. Eurowind, based in Denmark, operates in various fields, including wind and photovoltaic energy, and has been active in 16 European markets, including Romania since 2011.
