On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred on the west coast of the island of Tenerife, where a huge wave hit a natural pool, resulting in the death of three people and the injury of three others. Authorities in the Canary Islands announced that among the victims are two men, aged 35, and a woman aged 55, while the identity of the third victim has not yet been revealed.
A woman suffered a cardiac arrest during the incident but was resuscitated and airlifted to the hospital. Several people swept away by the waves managed to reach the shore. Warnings about very large waves had been issued by local authorities. This incident comes a month after another similar event, in which three people died and 15 were injured due to strong waves. Authorities continue the search for a person reported missing.
