At least 12 workers have died following an explosion in a tower at the Aceros Simec steel complex in the Mexican state of Tlaxcala. Another person was injured and hospitalized. The governor of Tlaxcala announced that she is coordinating logistical efforts at the scene, and the authorities have opened an investigation to determine the causes of the accident. The Simec Group, which owns the steel mill, is listed on the Mexico City stock exchange.
