The Prosecutor General's Office of Moldova announced that Greek prosecutors have issued a 40-day arrest warrant for Vladimir Plahotniuc, wanted for several offenses, including fraud and money laundering. Plahotniuc was detained in Athens, where he was attempting to travel to Dubai with former MP Constantin Tutsu. Moldovan authorities have activated extradition procedures and Plahotniuc, who left Moldova in 2019, is on the international sanctions list.
