Ariana Grande reacted vehemently against the Trump administration after the president's team used her song "We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)" in a video posted on TikTok.
In the clip, Trump addresses controversial topics related to gender and women's sports, and the caption of the post claims that his statements should not be controversial. Grande intervened in the comments, asking that her music not be used and disputing the veracity of Trump's claims. This is the second time in two months that the artist protests against the use of her songs by the Trump administration, after she condemned a White House post in June that used another one of her songs, 'Bye'.
Other artists, such as Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan, have had similar reactions, contesting the use of their music in political campaigns. White House representatives did not provide an immediate response to requests for comments.
