Bridge linking Africa and Asia is progressing, but there are concerns about its environmental impact

<p>The planned pipeline will link Saudi Arabia to Egypt, crossing the island of Tiran, and will include a high-speed railroad, aimed at boosting trade and tourism. Worth an estimated $4bn, the project will be funded by Saudi Arabia as part of the country's economic development strategy. But experts warn the construction could harm the local environment, causing climate change and pollution from cement emissions.
