On March 9, an unusual incident occurred on a street in Budapest, where a car was almost completely swallowed by a suddenly appeared pit. Authorities determined that the road collapse was caused by a broken water pipe, which led to the collapse of a portion of the road. The Budapest police announced the incident on social media, publishing images of the submerged vehicle up to halfway up the body. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities closed the affected portion of the road to allow technical teams to intervene and prevent further accidents. Rescue operations are underway, and specialists are investigating the cause of the malfunction and working on repairing the infrastructure. The duration of the remediation work has not been specified.
