A 14-year-old pupil has been charged with murder after stabbing to death a female supervisor at a college in France and remanded in custody

The tragic incident occurred at the beginning of classes when student Quentin G. attacked a female supervisor, fatally wounding her. He was charged with "murder of a person in public service", an aggravating circumstance, and remanded in custody. He was also charged with aggravated assault against a police officer during the arrest. Authorities have stepped up bag checks in schools in response to recent violent incidents.
