The World Health Organization has published two reports highlighting the gap in mental health policies and their impact on national budgets. In 2024, European countries will spend an average of $51.76 per capita on mental health, compared to just $6.86 in America. However, the prevalence of mental disorders has increased, and only 9% of people with depression and 40% with psychosis receive treatment, highlighting a crisis in access to essential services.
