The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announces that the Large Burn Centers in Timișoara and Târgu Mureș will be operational in the summer of next year, with advanced work on the infrastructure.

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, stated that the first patients will be able to be treated at the Large Burns Centers in Timișoara and Târgu Mureș in the summer of next year, due to the good progress of the works. In Timișoara, the infrastructure will be 95% completed by the end of the year, and the equipment will be installed by March 2026. In Târgu Mureș, the pace of work is similar, and both centers will be put into operation in the same period. The minister mentioned that additional staff will be necessary for the operation of the centers, and the government has initiated discussions to unblock hiring. The project, started in 2018, was resumed in 2022, with an estimated value of 220 million euros, and completion is expected in 2026.
