The investigation showed that the files contained falsified documents. The audits were either not conducted or were carried out under irregular conditions by sales agents without the necessary qualifications.
MaPrimeRénov' is a program of the French government that provides financial support for energy efficiency renovations in residential buildings. The scheme is partially funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the European instrument created to support reforms and investments after the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was pronounced on June 8, 2026, and can be appealed. The European Public Prosecutor's Office states that all individuals involved benefit from the presumption of innocence until guilt is established by a final decision of the competent French courts.
