Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, was very productive, aiming to discuss the progress made by the Romanian Government in the areas of budget, reforms, and investments.
"The Prime Minister presented the status of the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, focusing on meeting the milestones related to the reform of judges' pensions and the decarbonization process. The two officials agreed that the requests from Romania will be analyzed at the level of the European Commission, with a view to adopting the final decision regarding payment requests 3 and 4, and will send a response in the first part of March," shows a government statement. According to the document, the President of the European Commission appreciated the reforms adopted by the Government and the fact that Romania remains on the committed trajectory regarding the reduction of the budget deficit.
Bolojan emphasized the Government's commitment to efficiently use European Union funds to support the relaunch of economic growth in the country. This meeting reflects Romania's efforts to closely collaborate with European institutions to ensure sustainable economic development.
