On Friday, a yellow heatwave alert came into effect in Bihor, Arad, and Timișoara, with temperatures of 34-37°C, and on Saturday it will extend to the south of the country.

The yellow heatwave alert has been issued for the counties of Timiș, Arad, and Bihor, where temperatures will reach 34-37°C. On Saturday, the warning will extend to Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Călărași, Ilfov, and Bucharest, with similar temperatures. Elena Mateescu, the director of ANM, warns about the high thermal discomfort and the possible exceeding of the temperature-humidity index. A sudden change in the weather is also expected in the coming period.
