Climate change is advancing faster than expected, with coral reefs undergoing an almost irreversible process of disappearance. The Global Tipping Points report, prepared by 160 researchers, highlights major risks for ecosystems, such as the Amazon rainforest. Scientists are calling for a reduction in carbon emissions at the COP30 summit, emphasizing that global average temperatures have already increased by 1.3-1.4 degrees Celsius. Although there has been progress in the use of renewable energy, rapid and decisive actions are needed to limit warming to 1 degree Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
