<p>SNSPA Rector Remus Pricopie has lodged an appeal with the Constitutional Court after the Central Electoral Bureau rejected his candidacy in the presidential elections, accusing the 200,000 signature requirement as unjustified and not meeting European standards. He points out that in other European countries the number of signatures required is much lower. Pricopie believes this requirement does not reflect democracy and contributes to the political crisis in Romania.
