Liviu Negoiță, proposed by PUSL for the Capital City Hall, announced that he will not submit his candidacy for the elections on December 7, citing "significant abuses" that affect the electoral process. He criticized the current legislation and practices, stating that they are harmful to democracy and the interests of the electorate. Negoiță emphasized that the short pre-campaign period was only favorable to parliamentary parties, and requests for promotion were rejected.
He also mentioned that essential debates for Bucharest residents were not accepted, which undermines the electoral competition. He stated that he supports the election of mayors in two rounds and the right of candidates to have representatives in all polling stations. The electoral campaign will start on November 22, and to run for office, each candidate must gather at least 18,000 signatures.
