At an election rally, Crin Antonescu harshly criticized Nicușor Dan's attitude, stressing that he distanced himself from the parties after asking for their support. Antonescu pointed out that Dan, initially backed by the citizens of Bucharest for a new term as mayor, later asked for the support of the parties for his presidential candidacy. Criticizing him for associating with "schemers", Antonescu mentioned the withdrawal of USR's support for Elena Lasconi and stressed that politicians must help citizens.
