After about ten years away from politics, Crin Antonescu has accepted to enter the presidential race at the proposal of the leaders of the PSD, PNL, UDMR and national minorities coalition. Antonescu emphasized that it was a decision taken in a complicated political situation, expressing his readiness to stand as there are other candidates with pro-European and pro-NATO views.
