During a visit to Chisinau, Crin Antonescu underlined the importance of a pro-Western Romanian president for the continuation of close relations between Romania and Moldova. He highlighted Moldova's progress in European integration, saying it could serve as an example for Romania. Antonescu stressed the need to support the security of Moldova and Ukraine as part of regional security. Igor Grosu, President of the Moldovan Parliament, emphasized that the elections in Romania influence the European direction of both countries.
