Nicușor Dan and Maia Sandu discussed in Chișinău about European integration and energy security

President Nicușor Dan had a meeting on Thursday in Chișinău with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, where they discussed important themes such as European integration, energy security, and interconnection projects.

Nicușor Dan emphasized, in a message published on social media, the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in the European integration process, highlighting the "exemplary" political and administrative mobilization. The head of state also emphasized that Romania is committed to providing technical and diplomatic support to accelerate this process.

The discussions also included aspects related to resilience, combating disinformation and hybrid threats, as well as the need to counteract pressures from Russia, including challenges related to airspace violations.

Nicușor Dan congratulated the Republic of Moldova on the occasion of Independence Day, reaffirming the "special" bond between Romania and Moldova, based on shared history, language, and culture.
