The Ministry of Education has announced the publication in the Official Monitor of the methodological norms for organizing olympiads and school competitions, as well as the regulations for extracurricular education projects. Minister Daniel David emphasized that these competitions represent excellence in Romanian education and must be treated with high, transparent standards and without bureaucracy. Among the changes made is the possibility for students to participate in a higher class within the same educational cycle, the conduct of olympiads in an online format, and the digital evaluation of works. Additionally, the minimum score for qualifying for the national stage has been raised to 60%. The Ministry will financially support the participation of national teams in international competitions and will offer incentives to students with outstanding results. The awards gala for international olympians is scheduled for December 3rd.
