The Ministry of Education and Research announced Tuesday the structure of the examinations for the competition to fill the positions of principal and deputy principal in state pre-university education institutions. Candidates will take two standardized tests, each consisting of 20 items, to be completed within a maximum of 60 minutes.
The first test assesses personal skills and includes seven verbal reasoning items, seven numerical reasoning items, and six logical reasoning items. It is a multiple-choice test with four answer options and one correct answer. Each item is worth 0.5 points, and the assessment is conducted automatically. Candidates must score at least 6 to pass. The test is eliminatory, and its result is not included in the final average.
The second test assesses knowledge of management and school legislation. The topics cover education legislation, regulations governing schools, educational management, visible learning, the school manager profile, and the national curriculum. The passing threshold is a score of 7. The results of both tests may be challenged within 24 hours of being communicated.
