The Buzău County School Inspectorate suspends the competition for school principals

The Buzău County School Inspectorate has suspended the competition for filling the positions of principal and deputy principal in state pre-university education institutions, following a ruling issued by the Buzău Tribunal. The procedures are suspended until a date is set and subsequently announced.

The decision was announced on Monday by the Buzău County School Inspectorate in a press release, following Civil Judgment No. 931 of October 8, 2026. The Buzău Tribunal – Second Civil Division for Administrative and Tax Litigation suspended the meeting to establish the Board of Administration of the Buzău County School Inspectorate, as well as the decisions adopted during the meeting.

Under these circumstances, the inspectorate said it is unable to organize and hold the competition at county level. According to the initial schedule, the first test, intended to assess competencies, was due to take place on October 13.

For Buzău County, 173 vacant management positions had been announced: 127 principal positions and 46 deputy principal positions. The competition will resume after the legal situation has been clarified and a new schedule has been established.
