The Ministry of Education and Research has initiated a public consultation for the document 'Professional Profile of the School Manager', which details the role of the school director as an educational leader and manager of the school organization. This document is not a job description, but a framework aimed at standardizing the processes of selection, recruitment, training, and evaluation of directors.

The Ministry emphasizes that the clarified profile responds to the need for professionalization of the leadership function, based on demonstrable competencies. The profile is structured on four levels: axiological, transversal, professional, and functional, and includes five major competencies that reflect the responsibilities of the director in leading the educational unit.

The Ministry invites teaching staff and specialists in education to contribute with proposals during the consultation period, and the final form of the document will be approved after analyzing the feedback.
