The Ministry of Education is preparing changes to the awarding of merit scholarships.

The proposals include retaining merit scholarships only for students with GPAs above 9.50, introducing a new category of scholarship recipients with GPAs above 7 and no absences, and eliminating merit scholarships for students with low GPAs. The changes are to be put to public debate.
