The National Assessment for eighth-grade graduates (EN VIII 2026) began on Monday, with over 148,000 eighth-grade graduates registered. More than 4,500 students were absent from the Romanian language test. On Wednesday, the Mathematics test will take place in 2,956 educational units/exam centers.

The Ministry of Education specifies that students are allowed access to the educational units/exam centers between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM.

They must have a valid identity document and writing instruments with ink or blue ink for writing the tests. A black pencil can also be used for executing diagrams and drawings.
