The 2026 Baccalaureate session resumed on Wednesday, July 1, with the mandatory profile test, after the scheduled testing for June 30 was postponed due to the red heatwave alert. On Thursday, July 2, candidates will take the exam in their chosen subject, and graduates who studied in a minority language will have their final assessment on Friday, July 3. The Ministry of Education reported a participation rate of 98.2% in the Romanian language and literature test, with 120,119 candidates present out of 122,319 registered. The exam was postponed to protect the health of the candidates, and the schedule for the tests remains unchanged. Access to the examination rooms is allowed until 8:30 AM, and the tests start at 9:00 AM, lasting three hours. Preliminary results will be posted on July 7, and final results on July 13. The autumn session will take place between August 14 and 24, 2026, with candidate registration from July 14 to 21.
