The Bucharest Stock Exchange indices register significant declines

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, recorded a depreciation of 1.87%, reaching 28,695.87 points. The BET-Plus index, which reflects the evolution of the most liquid 43 stocks, decreased by 1.83%. Additionally, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, closed down by 1.93%, while BET-NG, dedicated to energy and utility companies, experienced a depreciation of 2.13%.


The extended BET-XT index fell by 1.94%, and BET-FI, which includes SIFs, lost 2.62%. In contrast, the BET AeRO index recorded a more moderate decline of 0.94%. The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 14.87 million lei, followed by Romgaz and OMV Petrom. The best performances were observed in the stocks of Carbochim (+4.58%), Bermas (+4.42%), and Chimcomplex (+3.58%), while Biofarm, Longshield Investment Group, and Aquila Part Prod Com had the largest declines.
