Bucharest Stock Exchange rises: BET index gains 0.86%

The Bucharest Stock Exchange ended the trading session higher, with the benchmark BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most traded companies on the Regulated Market, gaining 0.86% to 31,093.91 points.

Most stock market indices posted positive performances. BET-Plus rose by 0.89%, BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, advanced by 0.83%, while BET-FI gained 0.95%. The BET-BK index, used as a performance benchmark for investment funds, appreciated by 0.45%, while BET-NG, comprising energy and utilities companies, closed 0.41% higher. The only decline was recorded by BET AeRO, which fell by 0.04%.

The largest trades on the Regulated Market involved Banca Transilvania shares, worth 41.01 million lei. They were followed by OMV Petrom shares, with transactions totaling 20 million lei, and Romgaz shares, with 13.67 million lei.

Mecanica Ceahlău, Teraplast and Electromagnetica posted the best performances, rising by 11.11%, 6.16% and 5.93%, respectively. At the other end of the spectrum, One United Properties shares fell by 6.10%, Med Life by 3.85%, and Christian ’76 Tour by 3.52%.
