Tesla car registrations recorded a significant increase in March in several European markets, signaling a rebound in the company's sales, according to data published by Reuters.
In France, registrations tripled compared to last year, reaching 9,569 units, nearly matching the historic record from December 2023. In the Nordic countries, Norway reported a 178% increase, with 6,150 vehicles, while Sweden and Denmark recorded increases of 144% and 96%, respectively. Other European markets, such as Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain, also saw significant increases.
Tesla lost nearly half of its European market share in 2025, but has begun to regain ground following the launch of cheaper versions of its models.
In the long term, rising fuel prices, caused by the war in the Middle East, could positively influence electric vehicle sales.
Tesla registrations are typically concentrated at the end of each quarter, and data for the UK and Germany are expected to be published soon.
