In the first quarter of 2026, the Electrica Group reported an EBITDA increase of 25.7%, reaching 577.5 million RON, compared to 459.3 million RON in Q1 2025. This growth is the result of the positive evolution of the supply and distribution segments, with the supply segment having the largest contribution, generating an improvement of +76.0 million RON. CEO Alexandru Chiriță emphasized the importance of the transition to a competitive framework, which has redefined the operating conditions. Operating profit increased by 113.7 million RON, reaching 427.1 million RON, mainly due to the decrease in operating costs. Net profit increased by 58.2%, reaching 309.6 million RON. Revenues from supply increased by 30.7%, reaching 2,375.7 million RON, while revenues from distribution increased by 0.3%. The production segment benefited from the operationalization of photovoltaic parks, contributing to the diversification of the renewable energy portfolio.
