Boeing has announced that it will increase the production of 737 aircraft to 47 units per month, up from 42, according to statements from CEO Kelly Ortberg. This decision was made following consultations with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is expected to reach the production rate in the coming months.

The company intends to reach a production of 52 aircraft per month at the beginning of next year, with the opening of a fourth production line in Everett, Washington. This increase is crucial for Boeing's recovery, which has recorded losses of over 35 billion dollars between 2019 and 2024. Quality issues in production, highlighted by the incident in January 2024, led to temporary production restrictions, but these were lifted in October. Additionally, Boeing has resumed production of the 787 Dreamliner at eight units per month, with plans to reach 10 by the end of the year. Ortberg mentioned that demand for aircraft remains strong, including a recent commitment from China to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft. Demand for military equipment produced by Boeing is also on the rise.
