The space company SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, has filed confidential documents necessary for an initial public offering (IPO) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to CNBC sources. This move brings SpaceX closer to a listing that could become one of the largest in history, with an estimated valuation of $1.750 trillion and a possible listing around June.

SpaceX, which has become NASA's main launch partner, recently merged with xAI, forming an entity valued at $1.250 trillion. If the IPO takes place, Musk will become the first person to lead two publicly traded companies with a value of over one trillion dollars.

The confidential filing allows for the evaluation of financial situations before they are made public, and SpaceX will need to publish the official documents 15 days before presentations for investors. The company could seek to raise up to $75 billion, surpassing previous records. Although there is huge interest in SpaceX, experts emphasize that a favorable market is essential for the success of the IPO, considering the recent volatility of the markets.

SpaceX continues to operate the satellite internet service Starlink, as well as the social network X, taken over from xAI.
