The Pro Infrastructura Association has signaled a significant risk of losing PNRR funds for the A7 Highway, considering that the chances of meeting the completion deadline, August 2026, have drastically decreased. Although achieving the goal is still possible, UMB must mobilize exemplary, working in three shifts nonstop, which could affect the quality of the work.
The organization emphasized UMB's lack of capacity to meet contractual obligations, with varying physical stages for the five execution contracts. Critical points, such as large structures and fillings, require special attention, and the risk of compromising quality is high. Pro Infrastructura concluded that, to meet the deadline, a massive mobilization of workers and continuous execution is essential.
