SANY, an important global player in the energy sector, has chosen the commune of Dobrești in Dolj County to launch its first European project that integrates solar energy production with battery storage. The project has a capacity of 95 MWp for the photovoltaic park and 218 MWh for the storage facility, with works scheduled to begin this spring. The choice of Romania is strategic, considering the urgent need for storage capacities to support the growth of renewable energy. Mugurel Surupaceanu, the project developer, emphasized the support of SANY's president, Xiang Wenbo, in realizing this, mentioning that the one billion euro investment is a positive signal for Romania and Europe. SANY also aims to boost investments in green energy and contribute to the energy transition of the region. Additionally, SANY has expanded its partnership with the Danube Solar group for the development of three energy storage projects in Dolj County, with a total capacity of 233.55 MWac and 984.96 MWh of storage, with works set to begin in the fall.
